Inspiration

We wanted to create a platform that captures the spirit of giving during the holiday season. Inspired by the joy of sharing, helping others, and connecting communities, we built a space where everyone can contribute to making the holidays brighter for those around them.

What it does

Jingle & Wish allows users to post their Christmas wishes, donate extra items to those in need, and discover or host festive events. It connects people who want to give and receive joy, promoting generosity and community spirit during the holiday season.

How we built it

We used Next.js for the framework, ensuring fast performance and seamless navigation. The UI features an X-style design with a sidebar for easy access to features. We incorporated modern web development practices, focusing on a responsive, user-friendly experience.

Challenges we ran into

  • Next.js was new to us, so we had to learn and adapt to new concepts quickly.
  • Designing a UI that captures the spirit of Christmas while keeping it intuitive was challenging.
  • Ensuring the platform could handle dynamic content and real-time updates.
  • Managing data flow and user interactions smoothly across different sections.
