Tired of getting wrong numbers or harassing calls from ex-lovers or sales departments? Don't believe that the National Do-Not-Call Registry really blocks all marketing calls? But your carrier probably doesn't have the technology or web service or software for you to control who can call, who can be blocked, who can text, who can go straight to voicemail, right?
I have been using Google Voice for 3 months now and have developed a "virtualized" phone system. With the proper use of Google Voice and some knowledge on how to configure call forwarding, call screening, and forwarding voicemails, I believe this is an excellent and totally free solution to block illegal robocalls while allowing automated calls by political parties, charities, and health care providers, as well as reverse 911 calls, to go through.
As proof of concept, I actually offer my time, services, and know-how to help people in the Portland Oregon area implement and use this FREE techology, depending on their own use/their own preferences, and have posted ads on my Facebook and on Craigslist.
