Inspiration
When I was in college, I struggled with time management and procrastination. It became very challenging to manage my course lecture timings, extracurricular activities on campus, social time with friends, and my own personal time without experiencing Fomo. I thought Learning management systems such as Blackboard's iLearn & Moodle were very limiting as tools and did not capture the true essence and experience of students beyond educational content. I realize time management is a skill & it requires a smart tool.
What it does
Jibber Jabber is the social calendar app that goes further. JibberJabber puts discovery, group chat, shared calendars, and ticketing in one place, with an AI assistant, Bella, who does the coordinating for you — find the event (academic, professional & personal), check who's free, get it on the calendar — all in plain conversation. It's built for both sides of the market: friends who want to go out without the group-chat chaos, and organizers who want a direct line to an audience that's already planning to show up. Right now, making plans means bouncing between Instagram for event discovery, a WhatsApp group chat to argue about dates, five different calendars or note apps to find who's free, and then finally a ticketing link to Secure tickets — and the plan usually dies somewhere in that chain. Jibber Jabber is built for both sides of the market: friends who want to go out without the group-chat chaos, and organizers who want a direct line to an audience that's already planning to show up and looking for a social content feed that has events and people. Jibber Jabber makes it simple to actually discover, communicate, rsvp, share, book, and purchase access to events inside your calendar.
How we built it
Solo Founder, with AI-assisted engineering (Claude Code) used as a real production tool — not just boilerplate, but security hardening, database migrations, rate-limiting logic, and cross-platform bug fixes. in 60 days
Mobile app (iOS/Android): React Native + Expo, single codebase for both platforms Web app (app.jibberjabber.live): Next.js, mirrors the mobile app on the same backend

- We joined a Startup incubator & raised a seed round
- Beta tested with users from 20 universities before AI.
- Rebuilt the app and fully bootstrapped by a single cofounder
What we learned
- Users do not want an academic-centric app but a social and personal app that caters to their academic needs when they want to.
- Talking to users allowed us to discover a type of category that wants to bring productivity to their streaming, social media, and gaming hobbies.
- The agentic conversational support helps.
What's next for Jibber Jabber
Launching the app with a much stronger focus on events & aiming to host, manage, bring major performers to the EMEA region, and exclusively manage ticketing to their concerts as Jibber Jabber.
