Inspiration

New introduction of Multimodal APL option inspired me to get into it. Finally I developed a skill which works on all alexa devices and feeling inspired about it.

What it does

  Metal is being part of our lifestyle and few metals are precious and expensive in the world which we use it for making ornaments. Metal is being part of the investment in countries like India, Singapore, and Malaysia. We are going to see some interesting facts on those metals in this skill

How I built it

  I just had looked into a sample skill i.e., space explorer and it gave me a base idea to create APL multimodal skill. I also took reference of APL blog.

Challenges I ran into

  Initially, I couldn't get the skill works for voice assisted devices like echo dot, echo, echo plus. I couldn't get bullet points in facts list and faced some scrolling issue.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I developed the skill which is finally working on all devices and feeling happy about it. Looking to deploy my existing skills also in APL.

What I learned

Usage of datasource along with UI, Usage of APL interface, understanding of checklist required for developing multimodal skill, Got familiar with the usage HTML/CSS codings.

What's next for Jewelry Metals

  Going to add some more interesting facts along with the image which describes fact pictorially in familiar interaction with the skill response.
