The classic hit TV game show transformed into a website that you can play at home! We integrated Google Gemini into our code to allow AI-generated questions and categories to use during the game.
To utilize Gemini API to implement a basic game experience
Generates the classic Jeopardy layout, while being able to select a question, then based on how correct your answer is you can add/subtract points from your total score.
We used mostly python for the backend of the production, and HTML for the frontend.
Not many people in our group were very experienced with the type of code we were exploring, so the use of AI (Github Copilor, Gemini, ChatGPT) greatly helped us write the code, then editing it to our needs.
We feel good about the fact that we were able to make it to this point, with a functioning basic game. It surprises us as collectively we have little experience in this field, so it was a struggle at times but we are proud of how far we came.
Having the little amount of experience/practice in this area that we had, that also introduced many opportunities to learn. One of the major tools that helped us a great amount was the use of AI in the coding process. It is a whole new world with all the new technology and this was a great way to learn how to utilize it.
