Inspiration
- In our daily life, we encountered several animals and birds suffering from an injury or accident. In this situation, we don't know what to do next. Whom to contact? How can we save the life of that vulnerable being? These stray animals suffer and die because of a lack of proper care. They suffer significantly due to neglect, starvation, diseases, and injuries, as they lack the necessary attention required for their well-being, leading to their untimely deaths.
- In case of the death of any animal or bird, there is a problem with the disposal of the deceased being, creating health hazards for the surrounding community.
- There are many birds which are on the verge of extinction because of the ignorance toward them. For instance, Peacock babies die because of no care and attention given to them. Inadequate resources for bird care jeopardize their survival and are responsible for the potential extinction of bird populations.
- Money also prevents people in the community from providing veterinary facilities to injured animals and birds. Also, the absence of guidance on contacting veterinarians for injured animals, thus challenging to seek immediate medical assistance for injured animals, potentially delaying necessary care.
- Presence of various NGOs and Government Animal Welfare Departments but there is a lack of centralisation and collaborative working to ensure animal welfare in its full potential.
- Adoption and reunion process of the animals and birds need more proper information.
- Lack of Information about the government animal welfare schemes.
- Inadequate fundraising and donation channels for animal and bird welfare.
- Insufficient tracking and monitoring of animal welfare initiatives.
- Limited engagement and volunteer opportunities.
What it does
Jeevraksha: A unified platform for animal and bird welfare
Jeevraksha is an innovative online platform that addresses the challenges stray animals and birds face. By connecting concerned individuals, Government Welfare Departments, NGOs, Veterinary hospitals, and Volunteers, we strive to create a comprehensive solution for promoting the well-being of animals and birds.
- Our Website will serve as a central hub for reporting injured animals and birds, facilitating adoptions, locating lost pets, arranging veterinary care, enabling donations, and volunteer engagement.
- Jeevraksha will offer an interface that allows individuals to easily report injured or distressed animals, connecting them with local NGOs and government animal welfare departments for prompt assistance. This ensures that animals in need receive timely care and attention, increasing their chances of survival and recovery.
- In case of animal or bird death, district corporations efficiently remove animal carcasses preventing health hazards and maintaining a clean environment.
- To ensure proper medical aid for animals and birds, Jeevraksha connects users with a network of registered veterinary doctors thus enabling access to professional care for them.
- A dedicated section for animal adoption. Potential adopters can adopt their perfect companion. Also, pet owners can report their lost pets increasing the chances of reuniting them.
- Willing volunteers are also connected through this platform.
- Users can make donations in cash, food, shelter, and other supplies enabling them to support the cause even if they are unable to physically volunteer.
- Transparency by ratings and feedback to NGOs, and vets, promoting quality services.
- Raising awareness through blogs and informative articles.
- Together, we can foster a more harmonious coexistence between humans and animals, creating a better world for all. Join us in our mission to support and protect animals in need!!
