Parental Monitoring With Medication Reminder

Inspiration

The inspiration for JeevanCare wasn't born in a classroom or a lab; it was born out of a critical, real-world emergency. While working closely with a youth-driven NGO, we faced a heartbreaking situation: a 6-month-old baby urgently needed O-negative blood. Despite our entire network scrambling, pulling levers, and making frantic calls, it took us 12 agonizing hours just to arrange a single unit of blood.Those 12 hours changed everything. In a medical emergency, time isn't just numbers on a clock it is the thin line between life and death. We realized that the traditional, fragmented ways of handling critical medical data and resource tracking were failing the people who needed them most.

What it does

Instant Emergency QR Access: Provides first responders with immediate access to a patient’s vital medical history, blood group, and emergency contacts in seconds during critical accidents or crises.

Smart Medicine Scanning: Allows users to easily scan medications to track dosages and automatically catch expired drugs before they are taken.

Real-Time Medical Monitoring: Helps families easily keep tabs on their parents' or loved ones' ongoing health conditions and medical reports from a central platform.

Emergency Rerouting: Allowing Very Urgent Emergency Services like ambulance to send alert to Traffic police and they clear traffic to reroute

How we built it

Frontend Dashboard: Built using React to create a responsive, fast, and accessible web interface for both users and emergency responders.

Backend & Database: Powered by Node.js, Express, and MongoDB (MERN stack) to manage secure user authentication and store critical health profiles.

Core Systems: Integrated dynamic QR code generation for instant web-based profile access, alongside text-recognition components to handle medicine scanning and expiry date detection.

15+ API with 3+ our Own API to manage the Huge Data incoming and outgoing

Challenges we ran into

The most Important Challenge we faced is Gaining Trust of Users because JeevanCare also allows to organize Their Medical Documents/reports which is sensitive data we solved this issue by providing 100% transparency by giving Individual Database. The other main issue was emergency QR people might think it as scam scanning Unknown QR we have solved this by prototyping Our first Stealth Watch with dedicated SOS and Motion sensor which gives higher efficiency.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We Won First Prize In National Level Hackathon Called Avinya 2.0 conducted by SJCIT where we had been recognized by Girish Ramanna CEO of TechYantra and also Founder of Mitti cafe Alina Alam.
