“JBL Quantum: Sound That Transports" reimagines gaming headphone advertising by showing rather than telling. Instead of spec sheets and feature lists, this commercial creates an emotional journey where immersive audio literally transforms reality. It's not about the product sitting on a shelf. It's about the moment sound becomes so powerful it dissolves the boundaries between virtual and real.

The piece answers a simple question: What if we could visualize what truly immersive audio feels like?

What it does

The visual language balances photorealistic contemporary spaces with cinematic sci-fi environments. Grounded enough to feel aspirational and attainable, fantastical enough to communicate the transformative power of premium audio. The cyberpunk warehouse world features signature neon magenta and cyan lighting that echoes the RGB glow of the product itself, creating visual cohesion between real and virtual spaces.

How we built it

Tools Used: • Google Veo 3: Image-to-video on Weavy • Midjourney: Cyberpunk environment and initial character concept development and visual reference creation • Seedream V4: Scene edits for image frames, character consistency • Adobe Premiere Pro: Timeline assembly and final cut • Audio is original Veo 3 generated clips (edited)

Workflow

Each scene was prompted individually with detailed attention to lighting continuity, character consistency (same hoodie, hair, headphones throughout), and environmental transformation. The reverse transformation back to reality was crafted to mirror the initial journey, then adding the emotional payoff of her shocked reaction.

Challenges we ran into

Character and product consistency across transformations. Maintaining the exact appearance of the JBL Quantum headphones (logo placement, RGB lighting, microphone boom on left side only) throughout multiple scene transitions required extremely detailed prompting and multiple generation attempts, and Photoshop retouching.

Avoiding duplicate microphone booms. Full 360-degree product rotation triggered AI hallucinations of symmetrical microphone booms on both sides.

Balancing photorealism with fantasy. The transformation sequences needed to feel magical without breaking believability. Finding the right balance of particle effects, color grading shifts, and environmental dissolve required iterative refinement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Proving product commercials don't need to be boring. This demonstrates AI tools can deliver cinema-quality brand storytelling that competes with traditional production methods.
