Inspiration
This project was born out of a discussion after a cybersecurity competition. We were disappointed in the offering of cross platform C2 servers and decided to make our own.
What it does
Javelin is C2 server. It's designed to offer an attack access to a computer similar to what they would have if the had direct access to the server.
How we built it
We used golang to make a cross platform client, and python to make a light but easily extendable server.
Challenges we ran into
Sockets were quite difficult, especially in this case as we weren't following a traditional C2 server - client setup.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting it working and (decently) stable in less than 24 hrs.
What's next for Javelin
Ideally more functionality. We have been discussing adding ransomware and keylogger functionality.
*DO NOT USE JAVELIN FOR MALICIOUS ACTIVITY. This program should only be used on environments that you own or have explicit permission to do so. *
