According to The United Nations Commission on Missing Persons, about 670,000 people were entered as missing people on the list in the year of 2011. For various reasons - domestic/sexual assault, criminal violence, terrorism - people go missing, majority of whom are assumed as dead. For these people in immediate danger, we developed LockEmergency, an Android app that can help them easily contact their situations to get them out of danger.
The app automatically sends SMS to people on emergency contact and starts an audio recording when user enters second password for lock screen, all of which happen in few seconds. All the while, it would look like the user in danger was simply keying the wrong password.
