I have always been interested in front-end development, but I had never tried HTML, JavaScript or CSS before. When we saw an interesting concept on teaching code through a simple website, I was impressed with the clear and concise explanations and the interactive exercises that made learning Python so much easier.
Due to this, we decided that it would be a good idea to create a website that would teach Java because most of the team had been proficient in Java. Through our teaching java website, we learned the basics of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. We also learned to navigate through replit.
To build our project, we decided to split our work into 4 main parts: interactable items on the page, information on the page, design, and pictures. We learned how implement all of these tasks by scavenging the internet.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was formatting the website to how we wanted it. We were having a difficult time placing dynamic objects and formatting them to look natural on our website. We were not completely able to fix it but we were able to somewhat make it look seamless.
Overall, I am grateful for the experience I had creating this website. I can confidently say that I am more skilled in my abilities to create a simple website. These skills can definitely help me in the future as now I have a base understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
