Inspiration
I wanted to build a personal voice assistant that makes interacting with AI easier and more natural.
What it does
JARVIS is a web-based AI voice assistant that accepts voice commands, answers questions using Google's Gemini AI, and supports everyday tasks through a simple interface.
How we built it
The project uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend, Python and Flask for the backend, the browser's Web Speech API for voice interaction, and Google's Gemini API for AI-generated answers.
Challenges we faced
Connecting the frontend to the Python backend, integrating the Gemini API, and handling voice input and responses were important technical challenges.
What we learned
We gained practical experience in web development, API integration, backend development, and building conversational AI applications.
What's next
We plan to improve command recognition, expand useful voice commands, and explore additional integrations.
