Inspiration
The inspiration behind this project comes from the growing need for users to efficiently access and digest information while browsing the web. With so much content, videos, and online shopping platforms, we saw an opportunity to create an AI-powered tool that could summarize content and make the browsing experience faster and more personalized.
What it does
Our AI-powered Chrome extension serves as a chatbot interface that helps users by summarizing articles, web pages, and videos. It also provides assistance during online shopping by offering product recommendations and price comparisons. The chatbot allows real-time interactions, and the system is built to seamlessly integrate additional AI models for future scalability.
How we built it
We developed the extension using the Chrome Extension API and integrated advanced AI models for content summarization and chatbot interactions. The architecture is designed to be modular, allowing for easy integration of new AI models. For the chatbot interface, we focused on user-friendly design, making sure that users can easily engage with the AI for relevant responses and recommendations.
Challenges we ran into
we encountered difficulty in seamlessly integrating multiple AI models into the extension. The key challenge was finding a connection point between these models, ensuring they could work together efficiently to solve real-world problems in a cohesive way. Balancing model integration with maintaining a smooth user experience required thoughtful design and innovative solutions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of building a functional extension that provides real-time content summarization, video insights, and shopping assistance through a chatbot interface. The ability to integrate AI models in a scalable way makes the extension future-proof. Additionally, the chatbot's flexibility and user-friendly design is a plus.
What we learned
We learned a lot about the technical aspects of Chrome Extension development, AI integration and more importantly, we learned how to create a more intuitive user experience that blends AI seamlessly into daily web browsing.
What's next for Jarvis (AI Assistant)
The next step for Jarvis is implementing global context management to adapt to user preferences and behaviors over time. This will allow the chatbot to provide more personalized and context-aware interactions. Additionally, we plan to continue integrating more AI models for a broader range of use cases, enhancing the overall functionality of the extension.
