Inspiration
Helping people who struggle with technology. There are people such as the elderly who may need help with using technology, but many of these people live alone without family members to help them. Our technology offers a personal touch to IT help that is easy to use and interactive.
What it does
Discusses and interacts with people's computers, answering their questions and executing actions requested by the user who may not know how to use the browser.
How we built it
Groq API, Deepgram API, and executing web browser actions as a chrome extension. We used Selinium and Figma during prototyping.
Challenges we ran into
Issues with python compatibility for particular actions - had to port everything to java script.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The voice chat, UI, and interaction with the Groq wrapper all work quite well and very fast on both ends!
What we learned
We learned a lot about the APIs Groq, deepgram, and javascript development.
What's next for Janet
Make the interaction more natural with the voice chat.
