What is the problem that our product addresses?

Many creative artists are simultaneously students, and often have other priorities that demand time and energy; as a result, artists often lack the motivation or inspiration to practice their craft as often as they would like. For many of the artists that we interviewed, the lack of inspiration comes from the difficulty in establishing a community of like-minded artists, both online and in-person.

Why did we pick this solution, and how does it address the problem?

As a result, we decided to create Promptme, which allows artists to find inspiration and community with other artists. In our app, artists can browse art from other creators that span diverse mediums to gather inspiration, answer prompts to create specific works, and foster community within comment threads beneath artists’ posts. Together, Promptme creates a creative, inclusive, and inspiring community for artists to connect and create all in-app.
