Jake 'n Shake

Inspiration

The State Farm challenge - Many people don't know about certain State Farm insurance offerings.

What it does

The app displays descriptions of different State Farm policies in an easy to access fashion, without excluding important details.

How we built it

We used Android Studio and Java to create the different pages of the application.

Challenges we ran into

Our team wasn't able to decide on a vision for the project and that put us into a time crunch on the second day. We also switched from using React to Android Studio because we lacked the experience with React that would've been necessary to make the project in an efficient fashion.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made an app in under two hours that we believe is good looking and easy to use.

What we learned

One of our team members, Nate, has minimal coding experience. He was able to code a simple program to print various things by the end of the hackathon using Javascript.
