Project Update: Jaipur SafeTrip New Feature Live: AI Chat Assistant - "Jaipur Dost"
I'm thrilled to roll out a major new feature for the Jaipur SafeTrip project: the AI Chat Assistant, nicknamed "Jaipur Dost" (Jaipur Friend)!
One of the core goals of this project was to make travel planning feel like you're talking to a local expert. This interactive chatbot is a huge step in that direction. Now, instead of just browsing, you can ask specific questions and get instant, helpful answers about the Pink City.
The assistant is pre-loaded with knowledge about the best visiting times, local food recommendations, shopping tips, and transportation advice. I've also added some "quick question" buttons to make it even easier to get started.
Behind the Scenes: The Logic For my fellow developers, I wanted to share a little peek at the simple logic driving the bot's responses. Right now, it's a keyword-based system built in JavaScript that simulates an AI, with plans to integrate a proper generative AI backend in the future. It's a clean way to handle the core logic before scaling up.
