Inspiration -The inspiration for this DEX is to bring the most popular finance tools to DeFi. Jackrabbit is for the casual crypto investor. Moonbeam allows this to happen with connected contracts.

What it does - Jackrabbit does cross-chain swaps bringing tokens from other blockchains to Moonbeam. Jackrabbit also allows anyone to have access to AAVE's Lending Pools and Flash Loans an on-chain bonds as well.

How we built it - Jackrabbit is powered by the Swing API and does cross-chain swaps via the Axelar Network. Axelar's GMP messaging also allows for AAVE Flash Loans to be deployed on Polygon via Moonbeam. A message is sent from a Moonbeam contract to a contract on Polygon with the amount that the user would like to take out for the Flash Loan.

Challenges we ran into- I ran into a lot of challenges. I am working on this project solo. Unfortunately, I was not able to get Axelar's contracts deployed in time for the Hackathon deadline. This project is incomplete. The swap API as well is not connected to the UI.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - I think my biggest accomplishment was being able to stick with the project. Despite any distractions, I will continue to build this project out. I believe Jackrabbit can be a DEX that is useful to the Moonbeam ecosystem and DeFi investors.

What we learned- I've learned a lot about bridges, connected contracts, and Moonbeam. I think Moonbeam's connected contracts are a "game changer" and interoperability is the future of the Blockchain ecosystem.

What's next for Jackrabbit Finance- I plan on continuing to build out Jackrabbit Finance. Launch hopefully this year. The project will remain only on Moonbeam.
