Inspiration

Seeing many students struggle in their academic studies and the struggle of finding and applying to be a tutor.

What it does

Allows users to connect to the service and sign up to be a Student, Tutor, or Both.

How we built it

The project is made with Javascript for frontend and typescript for backend, along with MangoDB & Express being used as our database

Challenges we ran into

Connecting the Database to our project (fetching Tutors from DB). Making a flexible UI that altered depending on student and tutors logging in.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

First time using Mango DB, so it was cool to make a functioning project with it.

What we learned

How to use MangoDB and our first-years learned how to use Javascript with our Frontend and Backend

What's next for JAC-OFT

We will keep improving our skills and try to make a better project for our next hackathon
