Inspiration
Design a device to optimize home usage of medical assay readings.
What it does
Design a casing to interface with test results. Use an actuator to plunge the buffer solution shuttle. Apply lighting for a camera to capture an image of the reading.
How we built it
A 3D printed prototype was made with friendly consumer off-the-shelf products.
Challenges we ran into
Problems we ran into were integrating the plunging mechanism and electronics into a neat and secure package.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Producing a sleek modern design with simple user functionality which also is cost effective.
What we learned
It is always better to start with sub system design and integrate it into one overall frame in the end.
What's next for JAAC
Manufacture an actual design and optimize for mass production.
