J0mR's World is inspired by JimR's prelabs, turned into a fantasy adventure.
J0mR's World hopes to become more immersive in the future and offer (text-based) massively multiplayer online functionality with Google Cloud Services.
We discovered that spaces are difficult to read from input. We also learned how to work as a team on a program, which was a first for all of us. We built our project by first outlining the story and combat/interaction sequences, then writing pseudo code and changing it into C code slowly to make sure everything worked piece by piece. We discovered that when working on the same document, communication is extremely important. Mistakes can easily arise from using CTL Z while others are editing in the same area; we lost 30 minutes of work in 2 seconds doing that. We found that making changes in comments first helps to prevent such catastrophes. In the end, we learned how to collaborate to write code that is useful and readable.
