Inspiration
We're all engineering students, and as students in general we all face many hurdles and most of them are emotional and mental. The idea behind it is to help people going through emotional turmoil and refer to resources they might not recognize they need.
What it does
Your journal contains pages and each page is used as a data set for our personally trained AI, JADA, and from the information you write in your journaling it analyzes it and gives a rundown and how your emotional state is and resources referral if need be.
How we built it
We used Streamlit to create our web and saved all files locally, but they were still encrypted so that not just anyone could peek into your personal life. we also trained our AI locally (very bad idea) and its able to figure out most emotions within an acceptable margin of error.
Challenges we ran into
- The AI takes HOURS to train and sometimes the output is not properly formatted and we have to train it AGAIN
- streamlit is a very powerful tool but also very limited and we found that out the hard way along this project. From making image buttons or a normal page without it showing on the navigation bar. ## What we learned WE LEARNED STREAMLIT, we also experienced how to train AIs and their pains. python 3.12 sucks - Juan streamlit is worse only works with data - Abdul i learned ecryption :) - Nafi ## What's next for J.A.D.A J.A.D.A is currently only trained on general violence and suicide datasets, but the list of turmoil is long and has issues of all urgencies so the work projected for JADA is heavy.
