Inspiration

Our inspiration was the lack of teachers in Latvia and our teammate's cousin, who learned physics in 8th grade and has difficulties focusing for a longer period of time, he does not find physics engaging enough, which leaves blanks in his knowledge.

What it does

Our app is an interactive education platform that is supposed to have lessons about physics, chemistry and biology, both optimal and advanced levels in Latvian language, and to keep the attention of students it asks questions during lectures that must be answered, but the most important is augmented reality for Lab works, which provides an opportunity for students to see how the experiment should work, provides accessibility to science for people in different situations and reduces waste. At the end of each topic, students receive a certificate with a score and data which is proof of studying.

How we built it

We used Blender and Adobe to create an AR demo and after a huge brainstorm got to pitch deck creation in Canva. It required a lot of research about the education situation in the country and how the AR works and is built. We had to explore what are the opportunities of technology.

Challenges we ran into

How to pour liquids in AR and how to prove our point that there is no product that can be compared to ours.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating this project in such a short period of time and that Oskars managed to learn how to make an experiment in AR.

What we learned

We learned that the situation of education is even worse than we expected and improved our skills in AR model development.

What's next for Izzini.

Izzini. believes that education is key to the brighter future of Latvia and that there is a place for Science here, therefore Izzini. wants to go beyond the demo frame and prove itself as a new-age learning platform that understands students and their needs.
