🌟 Inspiration In many communities, young creators lack a safe space to showcase their talent without the pressure and toxicity of traditional social media. IYK Hub was inspired by the "digital kasi community center" concept—a positive, chat-free environment designed for youth to relax, create, and grow. We wanted to build a platform that focuses on 3 pillars: Stress Relief, Empowerment, and Talent Showcasing.

🛠️ How I Built It I used MeDo to move from a conceptual README to a production-ready v13 in record time. The build process was an iterative collaboration with AI:

Prompt-to-Architecture: I utilized MeDo's natural language interface to generate a complex Supabase database with RLS policies and distinct roles (Creators, Sponsors, Admins).

Gaming Suite: I built a functional Play Zone featuring Tic-Tac-Toe, Memory Match, and Rock-Paper-Scissors, all synced to a global cumulative leaderboard.

Creativity Wall: Implemented a media-sharing feed where engagement is limited to positive emoji reactions to ensure a safe space.

Sponsorship Engine: Created an Opportunities Board with prize pools and a mock payment confirmation system to simulate real-world business interactions.

🚀 Challenges I Faced The biggest hurdle was the v13 refactor. Early versions faced API errors due to schema mismatches between authenticated users and public profiles. I had to pivot the entire authentication system from username-based to a secure email-auth flow while refactoring every database query in the app. MeDo was instrumental in helping me rewrite the logic for the Dashboard, Admin Panel, and Profile pages to ensure data persistence and security.

📈 Accomplishments & What I Learned I am proud of the Admin Dashboard, which gives full visibility into community engagement and allows for bulk moderation of content. I learned that AI isn't just for UI; it's a powerful tool for solving deep-stack architectural problems like data normalization and secure role-based access.

🔮 What's Next for IYK Hub The goal is to integrate real Stripe payments for sponsors and expand the Play Zone with more educational "learn-to-earn" games. I want IYK Hub to become the go-to ecosystem for emerging talent to find their first gig.
