Inspiration

In this new age of AI and vibe coding, I started seeing many possibilities an opportunities. Naturally my head started getting flooded with ideas. Some really exceptional some very vague. Each idea was unique and had potential. I wanted an app which can help me to store, organize and recall these ideas. While also making use of AI capabilities.

What it does

Stores ideas in a very simple and easy to visualize form. With the help of AI features users can discover new ideas based on their profile saved or custom request. Chat with ideas with the help of AI and store those chat messages in the notes of that idea. Access these ideas anywhere. Automatically best suitable idea among all will be pinned. All the ideas are encrypted which means only the user can read them. In the mobile app version, notifications about pinned idea would be sent to user.

How we built it

Built using bolt. The primary UI was entirelydefined by Bolt including colors and even animations which made the developmenteven faster. Brainstorming done with chatgpt for things like deciding questionnaire to users. Some specific features like open ai api integration were provided by chatgpt. Supabase was added as a backend. While the app uses Netlify for the deployment. Manual tweaking of components were done with Cursor. 21.dev was used for generating UI components.

Challenges we ran into

The main channel was to provide different UI on desktop and mobile as both users would use this app. User might use mobile device for quickly adding idea and then use Desktop to think more on it with AI. Desktop UI is designed to show as much information as possible. It was difficult to limit to specific features as there are way too many possibilities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Really happy with how the web app looks both on mobile and desktop. The smoothness of UI along with great animations makes it feel even higher quality. The way discover ideas feature work makes the app worth it for using in daily life.

What we learned

Thinking about UX is very crucial. Bolt makes it easier to make the UI. But, as we move forward with many new features the UI might get cluttered.

What's next for ivo

Will move forward with making it into an ios and android app which would make it easier for users to integrate into their daily routine. Additional features from user feedback could be implemented such as idea collaboration for teams. Project tracking features such as expenses. Add a social feature to take feedback on idea or requests. All to be implemented based on user feedback. Also definitely gonna set a cost right now the cost is set arbitary. Can fine tune own models to bring API cost further down.
