Inspiration - trying to join a tour of Old San Juan only to have the tour guide not show up
What it does - based on your declared interests (e.g. cuisine, art), it tracks your location and alerts you when there is a landmark that may be of interest to you. If you select to continue, it curates resources from the web to give you all the information about that landmark.
How I built it - mostly HTML and CSS
Challenges I ran into - didn't have a developer on the team, and last time I had anything to do with web design was in 2004
Accomplishments that I'm proud of - I realized I remember more about web development than I thought and I was able to clarify the user experience
What I learned - that it's best to come to a hackathon with a team of at least two people
What's next for iTourPR - It needs a back-end developer to actually be a functioning app
