Inspiration

The biggest inspiration was the iOS wallet. I love the simplicity, elegant and ruthless prioritisation of what it shows.

What it does

Item is an iOS app that borrows the fundamental principles of smart contracts and reimagines them for the legal environment. Allowing anyone to create a legal contract that lives on the blockchain.

How we built it

I built an interactive design prototype in Figma to highlight the user journey and value proposition.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was trying to reimagine the legal contract and turn it into something that is more dynamic and relevant. Ultimately, how do you make something that is traditionally alienating and confusing, interesting and joyful?

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The biggest accomplishment I'm proud of is rethinking how a legal contract should function and look. Item has turned the legal contract, something that typically gathers dust into something dynamic and real, that lives on the blockchain. Furthermore, the Web3 space is in dying need of beautiful interfaces that delight users. I personally believe that magical interfaces will be the catalyst for mass adoption.
