It Takes A Village

Inspiration: helping homelessness in the community

What it does: connect homeless people with sponsors by building meaningful relationships.

How we built it: Rosy and Byron worked on the Figma wireframes --> mock-up; Laure and Nicole worked on the data analytics in the back end. Scraping local job boards and using the homeless' skills as input variables to match them with their desired and attainable employment opportunity.

Challenges we ran into: Time crunch was the biggest struggle as we did not have enough time to fully build the front-end

Accomplishments that we're proud of: The mock-up is what we envision the platform to look like.

What's next for It takes a village: Keep working on the idea, build a functioning MVP with a front end and do some market research if this product would work as a startup.
