Inspiration

Inspired by the chaos and noise of the modern world, "It's Just a Ball Game" serves as a digital sanctuary, providing players with a peaceful escape to reconnect with their inner selves. In a world filled with overwhelming stimuli, our game stands as a respite—a tranquil open land where the simple act of guiding a ball through serene landscapes becomes a meditative experience. The juxtaposition of the chaotic reality and the soothing virtual realm encourages players to unwind, offering a moment of solace and introspection. Through the game, we aim to provide a much-needed break, allowing players to find peace and serenity amid the tumultuous nature of everyday life..

What it does

"It's Just a Ball Game" provides a peaceful diversion, transporting players to a calm, open area where a ball needs to travel and gather three coins to advance to the next level. Encountering foes with various skills and a unique style of movement is difficult. This environment is brought to life with Unity 3D, guaranteeing an engrossing visual experience that calms the senses. Players are encouraged to sit back, relax, and take in the simplicity of the voyage thanks to the game's soothing pace and captivating dynamics. The phrase "Dodge, Collect, Unlock" becomes a mantra, signifying the meditative beat that characterizes this peaceful and enthralling game.

How we built it

"It's Just a Ball Game" emerged from casual coding sessions, using Unity 3D and Visual Studio as our digital playground. Fueled by creativity and a plethora of YouTube tutorials, we sculpted a chill gaming haven. Challenges, like integrating enemy abilities while preserving serenity, were met with laid-back determination. The achievement? A game that echoes our vision of tranquility. Unity and VS Studio were our tools, but the real magic came from YouTube's shared wisdom. As players bask in the open lands, the journey continues. More levels, extra vibes, and soothing tunes await in the ongoing adventure of "It's Just a Ball Game."

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was including a variety of adversary abilities while maintaining the game's laid-back ambiance. It was essential to strike a balance between difficulty and engagement to keep the game from becoming stressful. We put a lot of effort into making sure that every enemy behaved just right so that the players could travel through the vast country in peace and beauty while taking on distinct challenges from each foe.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of "It's Just a Ball Game" for striking a careful balance between a relaxing atmosphere and gameplay complexities. Our achievement is in producing an environment where users may unwind and become fully submerged in an engrossing visual universe. Our dedication to creating a game that goes beyond the conventional gaming experience is demonstrated by the incorporation of a variety of adversary abilities and the creation of aesthetically magnificent locations.

What we learned

We learned a lot about making a fluid and engaging gaming experience from developing "It's Just a Ball Game" in Unity 3D. Making use of Unity's features, we concentrated on improving the game's physics for a realistic ball movement, guaranteeing fluid performance across many platforms, and optimizing graphics. To preserve the calming feeling we were going for, we had to come up with creative ways to include different adversary abilities into the gameplay.

What's next for IT's JUST A BALL GAME

Our future plans call for adding more stages to the game, each with its own set of obstacles and captivating scenery. To further enhance gameplay, we intend to add more enemy types, each with special powers. To further improve the overall calming experience, we are looking into the possibilities of adding ambient sounds and calming background music. The journey of "It's Just a Ball Game" has just begun, and we are excited about the endless possibilities for creating an even more enchanting world for players to explore and enjoy.
