Inspiration
The current infrastructure of social platforms is centralized and more based on WEB2 protocols. These platforms have the authority to control that data for any personal or political gain. Users have almost no ownership of their data on these platforms. Most of the time Islamic content has been targeted for no reason whatsoever. Well, the solution to such an anecdote is Blockchain and WEB3. The information stored here goes is immutable. Once it goes on the Blockchain's ledger, no one can change it.
What it does
ISLAM 3.0 is a reflection of security, privacy, and validation of information that goes over the internet. As it's a basic human right to have its own private data. ISLAM 3.0 will not only ensure that in the future Islamic data will be safe but also that no single entity will control it. As it will be controlled and saved by Islamic scholars, professors, and researchers. Whether it's Islamic pictures, videos, or research proposals, all kinds of Islamic data will be saved on the blockchain through ISLAM 3.0. Our mission doesn't end on storing the Islamic content on the blockchain, but also opening a job market for Islamic researchers, Scholars, students, and Imams so that they could also take part in modern technologies and add their valuable contributions to society. They can be awarded through ISLAM 3.0 governance token followed by our unique model of work and earn protocol.
How we built it
Right now we prepared a very little demo on how ISLAM 3.0 will look in the future and where our Islam 3.0 DAO and IslamTube stand. We have used core concepts of smart contracts in developing ERC-1155 standard tokens and their cost-effective solutions. ERC-20 standards for fungible tokens such as Islamic governance token for ISLAM 3.0 DAO. Those users or Islamic researchers/scholars/professors/students will take part in the community's contribution, developing Islamic laws, voting for proposals, guarding the DAO treasury, and so on.
Challenges we ran into
At the start of the project, we couldn't find any cost-effective solution/model for developing Islamic governance on DAOs but after a lot of brainstorming and viewing the problems from different angles, we found that if build the governance model on something new, which we named as work and earn model will help us a lot not just to capture a huge audience but also open a job market for Islamic researchers/scholars/students/imams, etc. so that they can also take part in the technological contribution in the society. On the technical side, we were using quicknode API RPC endpoint at the beginning but as their credits runs out very fast we shifted to Alchemy RPC endpoint. We also encountered that third party decentralized storage services don't provide free trial credits, so we were unable to get our IslamTube up and running on the production side.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We feel proud to present ISLAM 3.0 as it is one of the great projects which focuses on making information and data decentralized and available to everyone. Also making it more secure and developing an Islamic governance ecosystem on top of the blockchain. We searched through the web and chatgpt but couldn't find such competitors whose goals and projects kind of aligns with us.
What we learned
We learned how the DAO treasury works, we learned that how different third-party decentralized storage helps to store large sizes of data files on off-chain networks. We also learned how all the play-to-earn or work-to-earn models on web3 and gamefi work, so that we could develop our own unique model through which we came up with a great solution of hard pegging our Islam 3.0 token with stable coins or fiat currency so that community contributors could also get a reward which could help them to keep contributing in the community and providing value.
What's next for ISLAM 3.0
This is just the very first start of ISLAM 3.0. And we are hoping to make it possible to reach its goals, all through the building, testing, launching, and marketing of Islam DAO, NFT marketplace, and IslamTube.
