Inspiration

iCarly was an awesome show we watched as kids, and today's brain rot antics really fit the vibe the show was going for in Carly and Sam's videos. So we decided to combine the two using skibbidi toilet.

What it does

iskibbidy is a website that lets the user learn all kinds of brain rot trivia, test their knowledge in quizzes, and see what popular figures like the rizzler and Lebron are up to. iskibbidy also has real life applications too, such as the helpful internship search in the snaps section and helpful coding learning and tips in the trivia and videos section.

How we built it

Using html,js, & css implementations, we rebuilt the old iCarly website and added a twist to it using brain rot memes. We had each member tackle different aspects of the website to the skills that fit them best.

Challenges we ran into

Most of us didn't know HTML, CSS, or JS when we went into it, but with the week we had we gave it our best to learn this weird but wonderful trio of languages. Working at different times didn't help either, the holidays can be a stressful time for some people with traveling but we tried to stick to a meeting schedule so we knew were we were at.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to learn 3 new language formats within a week (some of us who've never tried to build something this big) and we are pretty proud of what we did. We rebuilt an old website from just using google photos and using the way-back machine.

What we learned

How to work as a design and software team with varying time schedules, the use of user interfaces and the business side of the project. We learned how to make a fully functioning website with a clear goal and objective.

What's next for iskibbidy

iskibiddy can continue to grow as a site with inclusions of updating videos throughout the month, a constantly updated internship tracker, growing tips and tricks related to coding, and of course new brain rot inclusions.
