Inspiration
Shopping for fashion online has become overwhelming. Too many options, inconsistent sizing, and a lack of personalisation often leave users confused and frustrated. We wanted to create an experience that feels less like browsing a marketplace and more like having a personal stylist who understands your taste and needs.
What it does
Fashion Store is a smart fashion shopping app that personalises the user experience. It recommends outfits based on user preferences, helps users mix and match items, and simplifies the decision-making process. The app allows users to discover styles, visualise outfits, and shop confidently: all in one place.
How we built it
We designed a mobile-first interface focused on simplicity and speed. The app integrates a recommendation system to suggest outfits and products tailored to each user. We structured the backend to efficiently manage product data and user preferences, ensuring a smooth and responsive experience.
Challenges we ran into
We didn't experience any challenge, thanks to MeDo for abstracting all issues.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created an intuitive and user-friendly app that transforms how users interact with fashion online. The ability to generate personalised outfit suggestions and simplify shopping decisions stands out as a key achievement.
What we learned
We learned the importance of user-centred design, especially in lifestyle applications like fashion. Simplicity, speed, and relevance matter more than having too many features. We also gained insights into building recommendation systems and structuring data effectively.
What's next for Fashion Store
We plan to enhance personalisation using more advanced AI, introduce virtual try-on features, and onboard fashion brands to expand product variety. Our goal is to evolve Fashion Store into a complete digital styling assistant that users can rely on every day.
