Inspiration

We are all well aware of the very long wait for medical attention in Montreal waiting rooms. This program is meant to save people's time and avoid a useless trip to the ER.

What it does

It evaluates a user's symptoms and informs them if they should stay home and wait it out, go to a clinic for a check-up, or rush to the ER.

How we built it

We divided all tasks among teammates, front-end, back-end, architecture, and training/testing.

Challenges we ran into

We had a hard time setting up the MongoDB as none of us had ever used this software.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is our first hackathon, we're happy we persevered until the end.

What we learned

How to manage our time efficiently to finish all our tasks and we are now more comfortable using languages such as python, Javascript, coding in general.

What's next for ISA, the Medical Triage Assistant

We would like to integrate a speech-to-text function to allow the user to simply say their symptoms to ISA instead of typing them.
