Inspiration
Back in 2010 I went for Hajj and I had this horrible experience of being lost and I didn't know what to do. I didn't know Arabic and the police men didn't know English and hence this communication gap left me alone far from my family. I don't want children going for hajj to face the same agony. There wasn't a specific setup for people who were lost and couldn't find their way back to their families.
What it does
The main aim for the app is to be able to help the pilgrims to effectively complete their pilgrimage without the hassle of rushing to find their Lost ones. it is an app which will be installed on every volunteers devices. These volunteers will be placed all over the Hajj areas and when they do find the lost one with just a few clicks on the app they will register the pilgrim and sent them to a site nearby, where they will be provided food, drink and accommodation and will be taken care by volunteers.
How we built it
well we plan on building it using the firebase api integrated with the android studio framework.
Challenges we ran into
Well just getting done with my freshman year at university I was new to programming let alone android development. but thanks to the resources on the internet with determination and my passion to built this app I hope I will complete it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
well nothing as of now to be proud of but I believe when we come towards the end of the Hackathon there will be something to be proud off.
What's next for Murshad
Well the big plan is to win the Hackathon but I really hope the fact that this is a very big issue we could address it using our app.
