IrrigaSmart

Inspiration

I was inspired to create this project when I saw the farmers on my school farm using excess water to water the crops. Seeing them make the land infertile and wasting tons of water was the first step towards IrrigaSmart.

What it does

IrrigaSmart is an automatic water irrigation project that takes a picture of the land and classifies it into different groups checking whether the land is dry or not. After that, according to the picture, it sends a trigger via a digital pin to the water pump and starts watering the field for a particular period.

What we learned

i. The project helped me learn how technology can make daily life easier and more sustainable. ii. The project taught me to think, work and manage. iii. This attempt to make a sustainably effective project also helped me realise that AI techniques can save economic resources while efficiently meeting your own needs.

What's next for IrrigaSmart

IrrigaSmart right now is just a small trial project. When placing it on a large scale it will include inbuilt sensors and an easier way of connection.
