Unlike MLB, which is deeply rooted in North America, football is the world’s most-watched and celebrated game. The passion, intensity, and unforgettable moments inspired us to create Football Fan Highlights—a platform where fans can relive the greatest moments, celebrate their favorite players, and engage with the sport they love

** Why Football Instead of MLB?:**

We considered building an MLB-focused project, but one crucial fact changed our minds: Football is the universal language of sports. While baseball enjoys immense popularity in select regions, football is played and watched by over 4 billion fans worldwide. It fuels national pride, sparks intense rivalries, and is the centerpiece of some of the most-watched events in history. The FIFA World Cup Final alone outperforms the MLB World Series in viewership by over 10 times!

By choosing football, we created a truly global project—one that resonates with fans across Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, and beyond. Whether it’s a last-minute goal in the Champions League or a World Cup-winning strike, our platform ensures fans never miss a legendary moment.

What we built:

Football Fan Highlights is a dynamic web platform that curates: ✅ Top 15 Players – Stats, achievements, and iconic plays. ✅ Match Highlights – Best goals, assists, and game-changing performances. ✅ Player Spotlights – In-depth career analysis of football’s biggest stars. ✅ Fan Reactions & Commentary – Expert takes and viral moments. ✅ Video & Image Galleries – Stunning visuals capturing the magic of football.

How we built it:

We used: -HTML, CSS, JavaScript for the frontend. -APIs to fetch live updates, match results, and player stats. -Responsive design to ensure a seamless experience on any device

Challenges we ran into:

🚧 Data Accuracy – Finding reliable sources for real-time football stats and highlights was a challenge. We tackled this by integrating multiple APIs for cross-verification. 🚧 Scalability – With so many legendary moments in football, deciding what to feature required a structured approach to content curation. 🚧 Global Appeal – We designed the UI/UX to ensure fans from different regions could navigate easily and enjoy the experience.
