Inspiration

Born from the frustration with traditional hiring—where resumes get lost in a black hole and engineers waste hours on repetitive interviews—iRecruit was created to bring efficiency and personalization to recruitment. It also allows the CEO to add a personal touch to every prospective hire increasing the chances of closing the 100x engineers.

What it does

iRecruit automates candidate tracking, technical screenings, and interview scheduling, ensuring top talent is quickly identified and engaged, while preserving the developer’s flow and adding a personal touch from leadership.

How we built it

Phased build:

  • Fullstack Next js app built with tailwind css and shadcn ui components, integrated with Clerk for easy authorization and user management
  • ElevenLabs conversational AI Agent to integrate with recruiter’s Workable account (via PicaOS integration) to easily interact with their job posts and candidate applications
  • Fully automated AI interview with AI avatar of the recruiter, built with ElevenLabs AI conversational agent and SimliAI for real time lip sync to generate interactive interviewer video during the interview conversation

Challenges we ran into

  • Faced challenges while integrating ElevenLabs real time audio responses with SimliAI for generating lip sync video of the interviewer.
  • Building a ElevenLabs conversational AI agent that interacts with Workable Jobs and candidate applications using PicaOS

Accomplishments we’re proud of

  • Iterating fast and experimenting with innovative real-world applications of conversational AI Agents
  • An interactive interview experience with lip sync video of interviewer instead of just audio interaction
  • Directly integrating into existing recruitment workflows and ATS systems like workable to reduce adoption efforts for recruitment teams

What we learned

  • Learned to iterate fast and experiment with various tools and features
  • Learned how to use ElevenLabs Conversational Agent SDK and integrate with lip sync tools like SimliAI
  • Familiarize ourselves with various new tools like PicaOS, Workable, SimliAI and Clerk

What's next for iRecruit

Building on early successes, iRecruit plans to showcase its innovative approach through key partnerships (e.g., with influencers like Mati and Eleven Labs) and expand its reach to high-growth startups and elite tech companies, including FAANG.
