Ircodex

Go Team 13!!

We created a map view with Angular, allowing users to access schools and programs by clicking pins in the map. It enables community users who may have language barriers to interact with the website.

To support this user interface, we created the back end with Django. The database stores all SUN school and program information such as school names, address, contact. It supports administrators to manage school and program information in a structured and dynamic environment

I interviewed representatives of Growing Gardens and IRCO to understand their functional priorities in greater detail than what was provided in their presentations. I shared feedback with my team about GG's and IRCO's needs to support a team choice of project focus. I found and cleaned up raw text data needed for app content that @Karen Painter transformed into .json code that @Ana Krivokapić fed into Django.

I wrote the project description and our contributions. We used this summary in our final submission package.

I worked on the Django backend: designed the database schema, loaded mock data into the database and built a service that serves JSON to the frontend.

Ana Krivokapić
I helped prototype the user interface for Ircodex. I worked on integrating Google Maps with our project, and used the agm-maps package to do so. We thought it would be helpful if users could visualize the SUN school locations on a map. Additionally, using the angular-material package, I set up a header with IRCO's logo, and a responsive side navigation that the user can toggle to look up information about different SUN schools.
