Inspiration

With COVID-19, mental health care is becoming more relevant than ever. However, most people don't know where to start because they don't know where they are in their mental health journey. We wanted to create a personalized platform that could help anyone get started.

What it does

ipsum is a web app that creates personalized trend reports based on the data you provide about your day-to-day life. How? The process is simple: you fill out a customized form every day, and at the end of the month (or year) we transform your data into easy-to-understand visualizations. It compares your day-to-day lifestyle trends to unlock your full potential.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, Javascript, d3.js, and GitHub Pages to create our customizable web app.

Challenges we ran into

Linking forms to a database, learning d3.js, and finding a suitable host site for our web app in a 36 hour window proved to be harder than we expected!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the persistence of our team through the past 36 hours. There were many road blocks in the development process, however, we are extremely happy with what we have created.

What we learned

We learned the difficulties of putting together a full-stack web application in ~24 hours.

What's next for ipsum

We really love and believe in ipsum and what it can provide for the everyday person. As mental health continues to grow in importance, we hope to continue to develop ipsum to help others!
