Inspiration
While I use the IPFS via the Pinata service, after I upload the file to Pinata, it required the user to wait for a while to see the pin result.
What it does
While uploading file to the IPFS, the service will provide a method that upload to S3 via CORTX from frontend at the same time, the backend will provide temp upload key for frontend, so application can use the s3 URL to show to the user, but still the file store on IPFS forever.
How we built it
- frontend vue component to make vue application builder easy to integrate
- backend provide temp upload key for frontend app user to upload the file to S3 via CORTX easily and faster
- setup the domain to auto mapping ipfs hash and s3 URL
Challenges we ran into
- integrate them all together and works well
- design a good vue3 component to upload to IPFS and S3(via CORTX) transparently for user
Accomplishments that we're proud of
User/App developer can have much better experience to use IPFS to store file forever!
What we learned
CORTX works good with S3 and CORTX SDK is very easy to use
