Inspiration
dorm life, privacy, communication
What it does
wifi-connected IoT whiteboard with accessible user interface
How I built it
ESP32, OLED display and RGB LED's
Challenges I ran into
- establishing wifi server to hardware communication
- integrating ESP32, OLED display, and the LED's in one system
- using SPIFFS to implement html, css, and javascript
- getting the arduino and ESP32 to communicated to each other during development
- getting the arduino and ESP32 to communicated to each other during development
- realizing and adjusting for hardware limitations
- realizing and adjusting for hardware limitations
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
it worked!
- user-friendly web server tied to the microcontroller
- user interface with custom-made images
- successful communication between all parts of system
What I learned
- web development, how to effectively retrieve inputs from and output to a webserver
- how to read through documentations and tutorials to understand parts and systems to create a working project
- how to stay awake (merba yate)
