What it does

wifi-connected IoT whiteboard with accessible user interface

How I built it

ESP32, OLED display and RGB LED's

Challenges I ran into

  • establishing wifi server to hardware communication
  • integrating ESP32, OLED display, and the LED's in one system
  • using SPIFFS to implement html, css, and javascript
  • getting the arduino and ESP32 to communicated to each other during development

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

it worked!

  • user-friendly web server tied to the microcontroller
  • user interface with custom-made images
  • successful communication between all parts of system

What I learned

  • web development, how to effectively retrieve inputs from and output to a webserver
  • how to read through documentations and tutorials to understand parts and systems to create a working project
  • how to stay awake (merba yate)
