Inspiration

Tired to see many unread and important emails, wanted to make hardware interface to display this data. To create a convenient notifier for any email application to show this email.

What it does

It takes data from webmail and stores temporary data to be fetched by Wifi module to display on LCD screen with unread and important email quantity.

How we built it

We used python to fetch data from Webmail on Linux machine and send this data using UDP to NodeMCU Wifi Module to display data

It made our skills in hardware interface, programming skills and make new friends.

What's next for IoT Email Notifier

We can make it scrolling and use public Wifi for commercial purpose to help other people like both of us with this issue.
