Invoice Preflight

Overview

Invoice Preflight turns a folder of supplier invoice PDFs into a reviewable CSV and HTML report. It extracts invoice fields and flags missing values, repeated supplier and invoice-number pairs, and subtotal plus tax mismatches.

How it works

The prototype runs locally in Python. For scanned PDFs, it can use local Tesseract OCR when installed. It writes structured invoice and review files without sending document data to a hosted service.

Current scope

The GitHub overview includes fictional sample invoices and describes the current checks and limitations. A person should review every flagged item before accounting use; extraction quality depends on the invoice layouts and scan quality.
