Inspiration
Bullying is an issue that can't be easily avoided. As high school students, we want to create a place to anonymously report bullying. Proactively reporting bullying would discourage the act and stop potential victims from turning to bullying others.
What it does
Invisible Ink utilizes blockchain to encrypt messages between an administrator and user. The identity of the user would not be accessible, but the exchange would be recorded. Invisible Ink would be beneficial to students who are too afraid to talk to an adult because it would protect their identity.
How we built it
We used React to create the website. We also used tools like Truffle to create the blockchain aspect.
Challenges we ran into
The main problem we had is that we were short on time. Additionally, we also had trouble with the git commit command. Lastly, we were unprepared with using SparkAR.
Accomplishments that we are proud of
We are able to complete the main structure of our project within 5 hours.
What we learned
We learned more about using blockchain, creating facemasks with SparkAR, and problem shooting.
What's next for Invisible Ink
We still need to improve upon the UI of our website. We also created a facemask for SparkAR that simulates over a black canvas. This way, users and administrators could interact anonymously in a video call. Our next step is to implement the facemask into video calls for anonymity.
