Inspiration

Being the son of a small business owner, The idea behind Invisa was simple: if financial guidance could happen through a natural conversation, then anyone with a smartphone could manage their business finances more effectively.

What it does

Invisa is a real-time AI financial assistant designed for small businesses. Through natural voice interaction, users can record sales, track expenses, review cash flow, and receive practical financial insights instantly. The system can also analyze receipts, invoices, or financial documents using the device camera and generate clear explanations and visual summaries. By combining voice interaction with intelligent analysis, Invisa helps entrepreneurs understand their financial position and make better business decisions without needing advanced accounting knowledge.

How we built it

The platform was built as a multimodal AI agent using Gemini models for real-time interaction and reasoning. The system integrates voice input, visual document understanding, and financial analysis to deliver a conversational experience. Google Cloud services power the backend infrastructure, allowing the platform to process audio, images, and financial data efficiently. The architecture connects the conversational AI layer with business logic that interprets transactions, calculates financial metrics, and generates insights for users.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was designing a system that feels natural to talk to while still delivering reliable financial insights. Voice interactions can be unpredictable, so handling interruptions and maintaining context required careful design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One of the biggest achievements was successfully creating a conversational interface that allows entrepreneurs to manage finances through simple voice interaction. We were also able to integrate multimodal capabilities so the system can understand both spoken input and financial documents. We also secured partnership with Siscom Africa, A local data infrastructure provider.

What we learned

We also learned that combining multiple forms of input—voice, images, and data—creates a far more intuitive experience than relying on text alone.

What's next for Invisa

The next phase is expanding Invisa into a broader financial intelligence platform for small businesses. This includes improving financial analytics, adding predictive insights, and integrating with payment systems and digital marketplaces.
