Investment game

Inspiration

Recently our school had a stock game competition, and we thought this would be a good way to create a simulator that resembled the stock market.

What it does

The program is a simulator where you can invest in stocks and loan money to other people, both of which can provide a return. Events also occur, affecting stock prices.

How we built it

We built our game in Vscode and used pygame for the visuals. We also had help from AI programs such as Claude with debugging.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with finding a medium that we could all collaborate on since all of us have experience in different languages. The program also crashed a lot.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The system we used for determining the stock price changes worked pretty well.

What we learned

Coding is extremely difficult; this was the first project for most of us and we struggled a lot.

What's next for the Investment game

We hope to add more features and clean up bugs within the game in the future.
