Inspiration
A young BlackRock employee with his soothing tender voice inspired us to make a website. InvestMate is a platform were non-financially incline people can learn how and what to invest in and secure their future!
What it does
It shows top stocks, teaches more about stocks, and help create a portfolio using the Aladdin API.
How we built it
We made simple intuitive website using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bottle and Aladdin API.
Challenges we ran into
Using the BlackRock API proved to be a challenge the functionality and documentation were difficult to understand considering we are CS majors, not Finance majors.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We were able to build a functional website that uses the Aladdin API.
What I learned
We learned how to make a user-friendly website.
What's next for InvestMates
Grow further and seek different ways to help non-financial people to invest and provide platform to invest in cryptocurrency, ETFs , etc.
