Inspiration
Our team noticed how mass market investing is a male-dominated field, which can discourage women from exploring and pursuing financial investments. We aim to bridge the large knowledge gap in investing by encouraging women to explore and take control of their wealth management.
What it does
By swiping left or right on female-centred businesses, the user can choose which businesses they are interested in. The user is brought to their investment summary, where they can see the companies they said yes to, and further information, including industry and funding stage. Furthermore, an AI analysis is generated on risk, stability, and growth, as well as an AI investment advisor recommending a company to invest in based on the user's trends. Under the different companies, there are points of contact with real-life financial investors and the company website.
How we built it
For the frontend, we used Typescript and React, while for the backend, we utilized Node.js, Next.js, and TailwindCSS.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was the learning curve. Our team is comprised of diverse members with different backgrounds. Our biggest setback was communication, as we were often not on the same page.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of addressing an issue close and personal to us!
What we learned
Due to our diverse backgrounds, we were able to learn from one another, such as new technologies and frameworks.
What's next for Investie
Next steps are to add more educational services, such as information about debt management, financial markets, asset classes, and more!
