Inspiration

During the pandemic, we saw the stock market being propped up from investment money while local businesses were left to themselves to struggle and close. Getting your company on the stock market costs a massive sum of money and requires connections that most local/small business owners do not have. As a result, I created a prototype token that allows people to invest in a small business. The small business is then able to submit its profits into a smart contract, and the smart contract grabs the token holders and issues dividends to those holding the token. I also made it so that users who hold the token longer receive more percentage of divdends at each payout. Additionally, I created a sample menu so that you can buy food, and see the profit redistribute in real time. With defi anyone can spin up a token that represents their business for a few bucks and a computer. Imagine if local businesses around you were able to be invested. On the social aspect, income inequality would drop as small business owners would be getting a lot of the free money that seems to float around in stock markets. Also, entrepreneurship would be revitalized. Just as people are motivated to create cryptocoin ponzis because of the quick money from investments, local businesses like restaurants, stores, etc would do the same creating an entrepreneurship wave that encourages local businesses. Look, if shib and safemoon could hit billion-dollar marketcaps and their only rewards to holders was from a penalization tax from sellers the token (which means theres literally no value created), It seems like a no brainer that attaching crypto tokens to an actual restraunt that offers real dividends and brings outside value to crypto, would end up being worth more than those ponzis. Essentially, I wanted to bring outside value to crypto as most tokens created do nothing as of yet besides tax its sellers and redistribute it to diamond hand apes.
