This project was inspired by the difficulty many people we knew including teachers, friends, family and employees had with managing the items they had in their house. For example, a lot of the time schools are not efficiently able to track the equipment they have in their storage and whether or not it has been taken out or brought back since it is often overlooked. This leads to lost inventory and disorganization. But by creating an easy-to-use and simple program to overlook the items in one's inventory leads to more time as they will not need to waste time being disorganized, leading to greater efficiency, and in a commercial setting, can lead to greater sales and employee productivity.

This program allows for anyone to easily be able to manage their equipment, whether it be sports gear, tools, supplies, or anything they need to track.

We used the knowledge we had on python to create this program. The project only requires the python file as well as a text file where the information is stored in order to run.

We initially had issues saving the previously saved inventory, but through the use of the text file and proper implementation we were able to successfully apply this feature to our program. We also had issues turning this into an applicable program with a user interface and graphics, which is why we stuck with an exe file for the program to run with.

Accomplishments that we're proud of include that we were able to finish the project and that in works how it was intended without major bugs and errors.

We learned more about programming applications and although we did not hand in a project with graphics and a UI, we learned more on how to create one for future projects.

In the future, we plan to add a user interface, as well as graphics, as well as the ability to add images, notes, messages, and sharing so that it is easier to use and more pleasant to work with. This will also increase user productivity when the program is used. We also hope to make it into a mobile application so that it is more user-friendly and easily accessible.
